Drove back to LA the same night, which was nice. Can’t believe we bumped into Nathan Thomas!

The gig tonight is in the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. Nathan told us that another friend of ours - Ceiri Torgeson (an outstanding trumpet player from Wales), was also in town. So we met up with him and a load of other people at the gig. It was an acoustic show and very good it was too.

Found Peter and Sonia Sorenson at last, who were the first people there. We hadn’t seen them in ages so it was great to hook up. Top of a very long list of great American friends who’ve supported and helped us whenever we’ve been in California. After the gig, we left for Eric’s house to have a bit of a pardy (as Simon would say!). Caught up with more friends and made some new ones too.

Dafydd and Mathew, who were both in the TV/acting game – Welsh boys also. D is working on a docu in LA whilst Matt (who was in the Graduate with Kathleen Turner in the West End) is staying with Iwan Griffydd (not sure of Welsh spelling – sorry) whilst auditioning for movies – great lads, good time had by all. They also knew some of our friend back home – Ed and Matt - The Glan Taff crew. Left at 4am
