Thursday 7th March
The Tour Rolls into NYC.
Boston was glazed in sunshine when we hit the road. What a beautiful
city, I think we all agree. After shopping for coffee and doughnuts
we made good time as we headed back to New York.
Driving into the big apple was like a biography off Simon and Garfunkel
tunes. We saw the 59th St. Bridge, the New Jersey Turnpike and passed
through Bleeker St. We drove to the venue (The Mercury Lounge) and
dropped the gear off. It was then a case of back in the van and
off to Hackettstown, New Jersey for a radio show WNTI. The
DJ (Cher) really loved the band. We played El Goodo, This is how
it ends and RPM live, and Guess Who? and Cry from the album. Hackettstown
is famous for making M&Ms.
Traffic was horrendous on the way back to New York, but we made
the show with an hour to spare. It was good to catch up with the
brothers Arm (Erics brother Brian and Craig) and my cousin
Danielle who also made the show. We played ok, but there is still
plenty of work to do before Austin.
